Position Overview

We are seeking a skilled and customer-focused Field Service Technician to join our team. This role involves preparing and installing equipment, performing maintenance and repairs, and providing on-site and remote support to clients. The ideal candidate will be technically proficient, reliable, and comfortable traveling for service assignments.

Key Responsibilities

• Set up and test machines before delivery to ensure they meet operational standards
• Conduct inspections on equipment components to confirm proper functionality within required tolerances
• Perform installations at customer facilities, ensuring systems are fully operational
• Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical issues on-site or remotely
• Communicate effectively with customers and project teams during service visits
• Conduct customer training and machine demonstrations as needed
• Carry out routine preventive maintenance on installed equipment
• Provide technical support via phone or email when necessary
• Willingness to travel up to 50% for service calls and installations
• Support the team in trade show or industry event preparation and participation

Qualifications

• High school diploma required; vocational or technical training is a strong asset
• At least 2 years of relevant experience in machinery installation, service, or support
• Strong understanding of mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems, as well as diagnostic tools and electronic components
• Able to interpret and work from schematics, manuals, and technical drawings
• Experience in operating forklifts, welding, and moving heavy machinery is beneficial
• Comfortable using basic computer programs and email (Windows-based)
• Strong interpersonal skills with a customer-first mindset
• Highly dependable and self-driven; capable of working independently
• A collaborative team player who takes initiative
• Must hold a valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
• Capable of working autonomously in field environments
