Job Description:

Avsar Construction is seeking a highly skilled Constructability Review Specialist to support the preconstruction phase of public and educational facility projects. This role is responsible for conducting detailed constructability reviews, reducing RFIs and change orders, and ensuring design document consistency. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in construction administration, project management, or as a superintendent for large-scale projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in defining and reviewing project requirements, scope, schedule, and interim housing needs.
  • Conduct value engineering analysis to optimize project costs and efficiency.
  • Identify and document inconsistencies, ambiguities, errors, and omissions in design deliverables.
  • Ensure coordination between design disciplines to avoid project conflicts.
  • Prepare comprehensive constructability reviews of pre-bid construction documents.
  • Collaborate with Design Managers and Owner Representatives to maintain quality standards.
  • Write and review Requests for Clarifications (RFCs), submittals, and change orders.
  • Support project execution with document management, reporting, and process improvement.
  • Perform additional duties as required to facilitate project success.

Minimum Qualifications:

You may qualify for this role if you fulfill one of the following options:

Option 1:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Architecture with 15+ years of experience in construction and design.
  • 10 years as a Construction Administrator on public/educational facility projects.
  • 5 years as a Designer.
  • Experience managing projects with:
  • Single project value of $8M+
  • Cumulative project value of $80M+

Option 2:

  • 15+ years of experience as a Project Superintendent or Project Manager in public/educational facility construction or large commercial projects.
  • Experience coordinating complex projects with:
  • Single project value exceeding $30M.
  • Cumulative project value of more than $400M.

Preferred Skills & Qualifications:

  • Strong ability to work quickly, efficiently, and confidently under tight deadlines.
  • Experience with RFCs, submittals, and change orders.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Bluebeam.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder coordination skills.
  • Strong understanding of public construction standards, contract administration, and project documentation.
