Encore Talent Solutions has partnered with a client in search of a Sales Representative on a direct hire basis to cover their clients in the state of Wisconsin.

Our clients include OEMs, end users, and integrators in plastics, food & beverage, packaging, and general manufacturing. We deliver trusted technical solutions by representing leading brands in instrumentation, process control, automation, and safety.

Position Overview

We are seeking a driven and personable Sales Representative with strong technical aptitude to drive solution-based sales across Wisconsin. This role is ideal for someone with a track record in technical sales—particularly in process heating, control equipment, automation, or instrumentation—who enjoys working autonomously, building customer relationships, and growing a territory. The opening is due to a planned retirement and ongoing company expansion.

You’ll act as a trusted advisor to plant engineers, maintenance leaders, and OEM decision-makers, representing respected product lines such as Fluke, Balluff, AEMC, and others.

Key Responsibilities

  • Own and grow your assigned territory across Wisconsin, focusing on solution-based selling in manufacturing and OEM accounts.
  • Conduct weekly client visits throughout the state (60–70% of time in the field), offering site-based product expertise, demos, and troubleshooting.
  • Represent leading brands across automation, flow measurement, process control, instrumentation, and safety equipment.
  • Collaborate with inside sales, manufacturer reps, and application engineers to create tailored solutions.
  • Identify and develop new opportunities through outreach, field presence, and industry engagement.
  • Manage your pipeline using internal CRM tools and participate in sales meetings to track activity and forecasting (though KPIs are not rigidly enforced).

What We’re Looking For

  • 5+ years of technical B2B sales experience , ideally in industrial automation, instrumentation, process heat, or electrical safety systems.
  • Strong ability to communicate complex technical solutions to engineers, operators, and procurement leaders.
  • Experience working a geographic territory and independently managing a travel schedule.
  • Comfortable reading schematics and advising on technical applications.
  • Based near Milwaukee or northern Illinois, with the ability to travel statewide (occasional overnights may be required).
  • Self-driven, consultative, and excited to build long-term customer relationships.
