Production Worker

Job Summary:
We are seeking a reliable and hardworking Production Worker to join our team in a processed meat manufacturing plant. This role involves operating equipment, handling meat products, packaging finished products, and maintaining hygiene and safety standards to ensure the efficient and safe production of high-quality processed meats.

Key Responsibilities:

• Operate and monitor machinery used in meat processing, grinding, mixing, or packaging.
• Prepare and handle raw and cooked meat products according to safety and quality standards.
• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of work areas, tools, and equipment in compliance with food safety regulations.
• Inspect meat products for quality, consistency, and proper labeling.
• Package and label finished products according to company specifications.
• Follow standard operating procedures (SOPs), safety protocols, and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs).
• Report any equipment malfunctions or safety concerns to supervisors.
• Perform routine manual labor such as lifting, stacking, and moving meat products and supplies.
• Assist with inventory checks and material handling as needed.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Previous experience in a food manufacturing or meat processing environment is a plus.
• Ability to work in cold, wet, and fast-paced environments.
• Basic mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn machinery operation.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality and safety.
• Ability to stand, walk, and perform repetitive tasks for extended periods.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. as needed.

Working Conditions:

• Cold and refrigerated environment (temperature-controlled).
• Exposure to raw meat and cleaning chemicals.
• Shift work may include early mornings, evenings, weekends, or holidays.
