A global industrial manufacturing leader is seeking a Procurement Category Manager – Professional Services to lead strategic sourcing across key indirect categories including HR, SaaS, Consulting, and Marketing Services . This high-impact role is part of a digitally focused, performance-driven procurement function that operates at the heart of a well-established and consistently growing organization headquartered near Cleveland, Ohio .

This is a career-building opportunity to own a strategic spend portfolio (~$200M+), collaborate directly with senior executives, and help shape how professional services procurement is managed across a global enterprise.

Key Responsibilities

• Own and manage category strategies for Professional Services , including HR, Finance, SaaS platforms, marketing agencies, and consulting
• Develop and implement multi-year strategic sourcing roadmaps with a focus on cost optimization, risk mitigation, and supplier performance
• Lead supplier negotiations, with an emphasis on SaaS and tech-focused service contracts
• Collaborate with executive leadership and business stakeholders to align procurement initiatives with business priorities
• Build and facilitate supplier governance, performance monitoring, and continuous improvement initiatives
• Deliver measurable value in cost savings, compliance, and service quality across the category

Ideal Candidate Profile

• 5–7+ years’ experience in procurement or category management with a focus on Professional Services
• Strong understanding of Indirect Procurement and ideally professional services contracts
• Proven success in building and executing sourcing strategies in complex, global organisations
• Confident communicator with the gravitas to influence C-suite stakeholders and respectfully challenge the status quo
• Strong analytical, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills
• Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree or professional certifications (e.g., MCIPS) preferred
