Part-Time Sales Associate – The Hook and Needle Nook

Location: 3808 N. Monroe Street, Spokane, WA 99205

Hours: 10–20/week

Reports to: Store Owner

The Hook and Needle Nook is looking for a warm, friendly, and reliable part-time sales associate who can help us continue to be the coziest little fiber haven in town.

Skills & Qualities We’re Looking For

• A friendly, approachable personality with a genuine love of people
• Ability to offer personalized customer service and make others feel at home
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Familiarity with yarn, knitting, crochet, or fiber arts (you don’t need to be a pro—just passionate!)
• Comfortable with using a point-of-sale (POS) system and handling transactions accurately
• Willingness to learn and stay current with store inventory, promotions, and product details
• Able to assist with merchandising, stocking, tidying, and occasional event prep
• Dependability—arriving on time, communicating scheduling needs, and following through

Bonus Points If You:

• Have experience working in retail or specialty shops
• Can teach or demonstrate a basic stitch or technique
• Are active in local crafting communities or fiber groups
• Have creative ideas for classes, events, or community involvement
• Have Expertise in marketing
• Are interested in moving into Managment

Schedule & Compensation:

• Part-time: 10–20 hours per week, including at least one weekend shift
• Starting pay: $16.66/hour (approximately $16,000 per year
