Job Description

Akkodis is seeking a Mechanic - Level 2 RDS Agent for a long term W2 contract job with a client in Plymouth, MI .

*** No Corp-to-Corp; No C2C; No Referrals from C2C ***

  • Rate Range: $30.00/hour; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.
  • Duration :9-12+ months with excellent chance for conversion to Direct Hire.

Mechanic - Level 2 RDS Agent job responsibilities include:

  • Provide remote assistance to customers using company Diagnostic products including Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) reading/clearing and analyzing, Module Programming, Module Configurations, Advance Driver Assistance System (ADAS) Calibrations.
  • Provide remote assistance to customers using Bosch Diagnostic products including Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) reading/clearing and analyzing, Module Programming, Module Configurations, Advance Driver Assistance System (ADAS) Calibrations
  • Provide troubleshooting assistance to Level 1 agents and customers via chat, email, and remote support tools
  • Escalate necessary issues to the Remote Diagnostic Coordinator for direction or resolution.
  • Work internally and with the Service Manager to ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Opening, tracking, and closing tickets within the Bosch ticketing and tracking systems; ensures problem ownership and promotes end-user satisfaction
  • Monitor and track incoming customer emails with a shared mailbox system
  • Responsible for providing prompt, professional support to internal and external customers in response to a variety of remote diagnostic sessions.
  • Agents will remotely perform Pre-Scans, ADAS Calibrations and Post Scans of Automotive Diagnostic Systems to assist in the proper repair and function of customer vehicles.
  • Provide remote assistance to customers using the client’s Diagnostic Products including, reading/clearing and analyzing Diagnostics Trouble Codes (DTC), module programming, Module Configurations, Advance Driver Assistance System (ADAS) Calibrations and Diagnostic Trouble Shooting.
  • Escalate necessary tickets or issues to level 2 Remote Diagnostic Agents or Remote Diagnostic Coordinator for direction or resolution.
  • Work internally and with the Remote Diagnostic Coordinator and Service Manager to ensure customer Satisfaction.
  • Opening, Tracking, and Closing tickets within client’s Ticking and Tracking Systems; ensures problem ownership and promotes end-user satisfaction
  • Communication with customer using available tools: Chat and RDS Hardware
  • Utilizing OE software to provide Diagnostic Service.

Qualifications:

  • Automotive Certification, Automotive Training or 5+ years of Automotive ADAS/Diagnostic work experience. (Required)?
  • Previous Automotive Diagnostic experience.
  • Proficient on OE or Aftermarket Scan tools on procedures and capabilities. (familiarity with OE software preferred)?
  • Ability to read, interpret and document automotive service information and technical service bulletins (TSB).
  • Strong Automotive trouble-shooting and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Engine management system?
  • In depth knowledge on vehicle behavior on systems.
  • Safety Systems, such as

  • Trailer Systems
  • Safety Restrain Systems (SRS)
  • Antilock Brake Systems (ABS)
  • Electronic systems Energy supply and Electricity
  • Braking systems
  • Steering and Suspension Systems
  • Understanding the process of reprogramming/flashing of automotive ECUs is preferred.
  • In Depth understanding of Vehicle Diagnostic knowledge?
  • Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTCs)?
  • Able to follow OE Service/Repair information?
  • Previous Automotive Diagnostic experience. Must be computer literate.
  • Must be procedural oriented.
  • Strong customer service skills is critical.

Must be able to work 100% onsite in Plymouth for at least 5 months. After training period, you can go to a hybrid schedule which is 2 days a week in the office.

40 hours per week. No OT.

Schedule of Shift Hours:

7:30am – 4:00pm

9:00am – 5:30pm

10:00am-6:30pm

1:00pm – 9:30pm

Will need to cover hours Monday – Friday with occasional Saturdays.
