Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Locum Tenens Primary Care Physician (Internal Medicine or Family Medicine) to support outpatient clinics serving our nation’s Veterans in Houston, Texas. This is a unique opportunity to work in a mission-driven, team-based environment that focuses on quality care—without inpatient responsibilities or on-call demands.

Schedule:

Monday – Friday | 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM

No weekends, nights, or call requirements

Long-term and short-term assignments available

Key Responsibilities:

Provide comprehensive outpatient care to adult Veterans in a primary care setting

Manage acute and chronic medical conditions, preventive care, and routine health maintenance

Collaborate with the Patient Aligned Care Team (PACT), including RNs, pharmacists, social workers, and behavioral health professionals

Utilize the VA’s CPRS electronic medical record system for all documentation

Follow established clinical protocols and federal guidelines

Maintain timely, complete, and accurate medical documentation

Qualifications:

MD or DO from an accredited medical school

Board Certified or Board Eligible in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine

Active, unrestricted license in any U.S. state or territory

U.S. Citizenship required (due to federal contract regulations)

BLS certification required; ACLS preferred

Previous experience with the VA or federal healthcare systems is a plus
