IT Project Manager (Hybrid – San Antonio, TX)

W-2 Hourly Rate: $55–$60/hour

Type: Non-exempt, 40 hours/week

Position Overview

We are seeking an IT Project Manager to coordinate and deliver multiple technology projects across business units. The ideal candidate manages complex project portfolios, provides strong leadership, and ensures projects align with organizational goals, are completed on time, and meet quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and manage project roadmaps, timelines, and resource allocation.
• Collaborate with business leaders to align project objectives with organizational priorities.
• Create, issue, and manage Requests for Proposal (RFPs) to outside vendors, ensuring clear requirements and evaluation criteria are defined.
• Vet and select vendors by leading the evaluation process, coordinating with cross-functional teams, and applying objective selection criteria.
• Oversee vendor onboarding and contract negotiations, ensuring alignment with project goals and organizational standards.
• Manage vendor relationships throughout the project lifecycle, including regular performance reviews, compliance monitoring, and issue resolution.
• Hold regular meetings with stakeholders and vendors to monitor progress, address risks, and communicate milestones.
• Provide timely status updates to leadership on project health and milestones.
• Oversee project teams, assign tasks, and ensure deliverables are met.
• Identify and communicate project risks, issues, and dependencies.
• Maintain required project documentation and reports.
• Ensure all deliverables meet organizational standards.
• Build strong relationships with internal teams and external partners.

Required Qualifications

• 7+ years experience managing complex IT projects involving infrastructure and system / COTS implementation.
• Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication.
• Proficiency with project management tools and methodologies.
• Attention to detail and commitment to quality.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in data governance or data-focused projects.
• PMP, CSM or equivalent certification.
