Job Description

Position Summary:

The HRIS Project Manager is responsible for ensuring that Human Resources Information Systems support organizational and operational effectiveness and remain compliant with all applicable laws and regulations. This includes implementing HR software, driving continuous improvement, maintaining data integrity, and delivering workforce reporting. The role also manages a team of HRIS analysts.

Essential Functions:

  • Lead HRIS projects across all Workday functional areas
  • Develop and manage project plans aligned to organizational objectives
  • Collaborate with IT to ensure proper integrations with third-party systems
  • Consult with HR stakeholders to gather requirements and enhance Workday configurations
  • Act as subject matter expert for Workday configurations and reporting
  • Compile and analyze employee data to support decision-making
  • Create and deliver custom reports for HR and business stakeholders
  • Optimize Business Process workflows and recommend improvements
  • Troubleshoot HR data and process issues
  • Document HRIS procedures and ensure compliance
  • Manage automation, workflows, notifications, and external communications within the system
  • Manage governmental reporting and regulatory compliance
  • Lead and mentor a team of Workday HRIS analysts
  • Maintain a high standard of ethical conduct and compliance in all business practices

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, HR Management, or related field (or equivalent experience)
  • Minimum 8 years of HR experience with significant HRIS (Workday) expertise
  • Strong technical proficiency with Microsoft Office and advanced Excel
  • Strong project management and problem-solving capabilities
  • Experience with Workday configuration and system administration
  • Deep understanding of HR business processes and compliance requirements
  • Ability to build relationships across departments and organizational levels
  • Able to travel up to 5% of the time
