Now Hiring: Maintenance Technician – 1st Shift

Location: Waukegan, IL | Pay: $38-40/hr (Based on experience) | Benefits: Medical, Dental, Vision, PTO, 401(k)

We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to join our team in Waukegan, IL. This role plays a critical part in maintaining our production equipment and facility operations to ensure maximum uptime and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

• Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain production equipment such as metal detectors, baggers, conveyors, mixers, pumps, sealers, and scales.
• Perform mechanical and electrical diagnostics, installations, and preventative maintenance.
• Conduct root cause analysis and implement lasting solutions to improve equipment reliability.
• Read and interpret technical documents, schematics, and blueprints.
• Collaborate with team members to address equipment issues and recommend improvements.
• Perform electrical troubleshooting on PLC-controlled systems, VFDs, motor controls, and 3-phase systems.
• Maintain detailed documentation of work performed in alignment with safety and regulatory standards.
• Assist with training on equipment operation and safety practices.

Qualifications:

• 5+ years of industrial maintenance experience in a food production or manufacturing setting.
• Strong background in troubleshooting and maintaining electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
• Experience working with metal detectors, baggers, sealers, and scales.
• Proficiency with AC/DC motors, gear drives, conveyors, and plant utilities.
• Ability to interpret technical instructions and blueprints.
• Comfortable working independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
• High School diploma or GED required; technical certifications or an Associate's degree preferred.
• Valid driver’s license required.
