Job Description:

We are seeking a low voltage maintenance electrician to join a highly regarded company in the Sarasota area! Either new construction electrician or service electrician experience is required. The Electrician role is responsible for inspecting, maintaining, and performing repairs on electrical systems to ensure the safe and efficient operation of commercial properties.

Principle Duties and Responsibilities

  • Inspect systems, including lighting, power outlets, circuit breakers, and wiring, for functionality, safety, and compliance with codes.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues with wiring, fixtures, control systems, and low-voltage infrastructure.
  • Install or replace components such as switches, outlets, and lighting fixtures.
  • Maintain and service power distribution systems and panels to ensure reliability.
  • Perform preventative maintenance and testing to identify and address potential issues.
  • Work with property management to schedule and prioritize repairs.
  • Ensure all systems are maintained according to safety standards and local regulations.
  • Track and manage inventory of tools, equipment, and supplies.
  • Respond to emergency calls, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Qualifications:

  • Active driver’s license is required.
  • Experience in electrical maintenance or a related field, with a focus on electrical systems, troubleshooting, and repairs.
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Familiarity with codes, safety standards, and the ability to interpret blueprints and diagrams.
  • Effective communication and organizational abilities.
  • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
  • Flexibility to respond to emergencies when necessary.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to lift up to 75 pounds and operate tools and equipment necessary for maintenance tasks.
  • Dexterity to handle small components and perform precise work.
  • Ability to climb ladders and work at heights up to 25 feet.
  • Extended periods of standing, walking, and occasional driving between locations.
  • Alertness and attention to detail to ensure safety and efficiency.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $30.00 - $40.00 per hour
