Estimator – Electrical Construction (Mission Critical Projects)

About the Role

As an Estimator, you’ll play a key role in shaping project success through accurate, detail-driven cost analysis. From reviewing technical drawings to collaborating with the field and leadership teams, you’ll develop estimates that balance precision, competitiveness, and profitability. Senior candidates may take on more complex scopes and mentoring responsibilities, while junior candidates will have opportunities to grow within a tight-knit, high-performance team.

What You’ll Do

• Analyze project drawings, specs, and RFPs to develop competitive and complete electrical estimates
• Use HeavyBid and NEC references to structure accurate cost models
• Partner with project managers, engineers, and field teams to align scope and logistics
• Identify qualified subcontractors/suppliers and negotiate pricing and contract terms
• Conduct job walks and assess site-specific variables to validate estimates
• Produce clear breakdowns of labor, material, equipment, and indirect cost components
• Track project outcomes and refine cost database for future estimating accuracy
• (Senior Only) Lead complex bids, support junior estimators, and interface with executive leadership

What You Bring

• Experience in mission critical electrical estimating (semiconductor, data center, or industrial)—from entry-level up to senior
• Familiarity or proficiency with HeavyBid or equivalent estimating software
• Strong understanding of construction budgeting and electrical code standards
• Attention to detail, organizational discipline, and the ability to work under deadlines
• Communication and negotiation skills suitable for vendor coordination and team collaboration
• Ability to juggle multiple bids and maintain quality in a fast-paced environment
• (Senior Only) Strategic thinking and leadership qualities to support larger scopes or team mentorship
