DevOps Engineer (Microsoft | Azure | GitHub | Jenkins)

Location: Must be based near Syracuse NY , Rochester NY , or Richmond VA

Employment Type: Full-time, Direct Hire

Salary: $90,000–$120,000 annually

Travel: ~10%, occasional visits to local office

About the Role

We’re hiring a Mid-Level DevOps Engineer with strong expertise in the Microsoft ecosystem , including Azure , GitHub , and Jenkins , to lead the design and implementation of our CI/CD pipelines and cloud infrastructure. This is a direct-hire role with a growing team, offering the opportunity to make a meaningful impact from day one.

You'll work remotely, with occasional visits to our local office—so we’re looking for candidates based in the Syracuse , Rochester , or Richmond areas.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions and Jenkins
• Manage and optimize infrastructure in Azure , including VMs, networking, and storage
• Automate internal and external build and deployment processes
• Improve version control workflows using GitHub
• Troubleshoot build and deployment issues quickly and effectively
• Collaborate closely with development and QA teams on deployment strategy
• Implement infrastructure automation and cloud best practices

What We're Looking For

• 3+ years of experience with .NET Core , C# , and Microsoft SQL Server
• Deep hands-on experience with Azure cloud services
• Proficient with GitHub , including branching and version control strategy
• CI/CD pipeline expertise with GitHub Actions and Jenkins
• Strong scripting skills: PowerShell , Bash , or Python
• Knowledge of Windows Server administration and core networking concepts

Bonus Skills (Nice to Have)

• Familiarity with Docker and Kubernetes
• Experience with tools like Ansible , Puppet , or Chef
• Exposure to monitoring/logging tools (Grafana, ELK, etc.)
• Understanding of DevSecOps principles
