Job Description
We are looking for a dedicated Customer Service Representative to join our team. This role is perfect for someone passionate about helping others and making a difference in the community. You will be responsible for engaging with members, coordinating access to healthcare services, and building relationships with community organizations. Key Responsibilities:
Conduct face-to-face outreach to educate members on preventive health services, maternity care, and chronic condition management.
Assess member needs and connect them with appropriate care management resources, including behavioral health services.
Build strong relationships with members and community organizations to support health and wellness initiatives.
Assist members with completing Health Risk Assessments and address barriers to healthcare (e.g., transportation, financial concerns, knowledge gaps).
Collaborate with human service organizations, such as Head Start Programs, WIC, community centers, and state agencies, to identify and support members in need.
Provide accurate information on healthcare benefits and available services.
Develop educational materials for members and healthcare providers.
Conduct training sessions on Early and Periodic Screening, Diagnostic, and Treatment (EPSDT) services and other health initiatives.
Participate in community events to represent the organization and promote health awareness.
Track outreach efforts and report outcomes to management.
What We're Looking For:
High School Diploma or GED required.
Must obtain Act 33/34 and 73 clearances before starting.
Experience in customer service, with strong skills in assessing customer needs and providing high-quality service.
Previous experience as a Medical Assistant is required.
Call center experience is a must.
Strong teamwork and communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with members, peers, and supervisors.
Ability to work independently, problem-solve creatively, and manage multiple tasks efficiently.
Demonstrated patience, empathy, and cultural sensitivity when working with diverse populations, including Medicaid recipients.
Understanding of healthcare challenges such as transportation barriers, childcare issues, and general distrust of the system.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in healthcare-related customer service or marketing.
Bilingual (Spanish-speaking preferred).
Familiarity with medical terminology.
Prior experience working with the targeted community or population.
