Job Description

We are currently seeking a Controller for our client in Tracy, CA.

  • Prepare, review and present monthly financial statements to the Executive Team
  • Responsible for on-time completion of monthly closing including GL reconciliation and journal entry posting
  • Ensure proper controls and processes exist and are maintained at ACM
  • Prepare, review and present sales projections and annual forecasts
  • Analyze and create ad hoc financial reports and Excel-based financial modeling & budgeting
  • Manage daily cash flow
  • Prepare monthly Borrowing Base Reports as needed
  • Manage capital asset purchases, leases, and depreciation schedules
  • Lead contact for bank, insurance, and other regulatory audits
  • Manage 3rd Party IT/Network provider
  • Collaborate within inter-department teams and manage costing of production runs including yield analysis, production, and raw material adjustments
  • Ensure record keeping meets the requirements of auditors and government agencies
  • Comply with local, state, and federal government reporting requirements on tax filings
  • Oversee accounts payable, accounts receivable, cost accounting and month end close
  • Manage, develop, coach, and mentor accounting staff
  • Receive and answer inquiries from vendors and suppliers by phone, fax, postal mail, and electronic mail concerning invoices and payment status
  • Implement new processes where necessary to ensure efficiency
  • Additional controller duties as necessary

  • Knowledge of and intermediate ability to use various computer-based programs including MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree from a four-year college or equivalent combination of education and/or experience
  • 5 – 10 years related controller accounting experience
  • Working knowledge of an ERP accounting system (ABS accounting system experience a plus)
