You would collaborate and coordinate multiple simultaneous rollout efforts on new ships, as well as the existing fleet, and updating current products as part of Celebrity’s Operational Excellence efforts.

This position ensures that all concepts are brought to life in line with strategic goals and with a full understanding of operational feasibility working hand in hand with the operators. You need to be a self-starter that is comfortable to work through the “gray” including multiple iterations of concepts. You will need to possess a combination of creative thinking, guest experiences creation, strong storytelling capabilities and meticulous documentation and presentation skills. Additionally, you will need the ability to problem solve in the moment with creative solutions that keep stakeholders focused on the vision.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities :

  • Provides day-to-day product vision and support for all partners and stakeholders ensuring that the products being created for Celebrity Cruises are viable, feasible and desirable for our guests. In addition, must be a highly collaborative team player connecting various disciplines from the brand, Newbuild and partners to ensure a successful delivery.

  • Leads all aspects from experience ideation, documentation, and execution handoff to the operations.

  • Creates experience stories (in the form of presentations) outlining the product direction to help partners and stakeholders stay aligned and focused on the key priorities of the new guest experience products.

  • Uses creative approaches to develop playbooks, executive presentations, operating procedures (SOP’s), and use data analytics to share recommendations and updates with senior management as well as partners and stakeholders.

  • Responsible for helping partners and stakeholders prioritize to ensure that final delivery of the product realizes the strategic vision and brings to life the desired experience for our guests on time and on budget.

  • Understands project management framework such as communicating changes as well as updating or prioritizing shifts to cross functional teams while keeping Product Development Managers up to speed on progress with regular proactive check points.

  • Works with operations and design teams on run of show events as well as mockups to showcase the new product and ensure the guest experience will deliver on strategy/vision.

  • Develops training materials, SOPs or playbooks to ensure each concept/experience is flawlessly executed onboard our ships.

  • Works closely with the Newbuild and other architectural/design/construction partners to ensure physical products meet brand expectations.

  • Leverages objective data from insights & Analytics to help inform development of new products.

  • Shares experience guidelines to ensure Creative Agencies, Hotel Operations and Newbuild teams have the needed information to design, build venues or experiences and ultimately operate the concepts that deliver against the desired guest experience.

  • Defines success criteria for products and experiences and coordinates post-delivery audit of the product through metrics and KPI. Willing to travel up to 20% of the time onboard ships or shipyard.

  • Supports the process and governance for guest facing product changes in line with the Operational Excellence standard assigned to Product Development.

  • Responsible for oversight and execution of the vision for various products and experiences, each of which can be more than ten (and often hundreds) of millions of dollars spanning multiple years of development.

Qualifications, Knowledge and Skills:

  • Minimum 2 years of experience in a guest experience, physical consumer product, design or other similar role developing experiences or physical products for consumers.

  • Startup experience, newbuilds, or similar preferred.

  • Previous product owner experience preferred. This role leans into guest experiences and physical products, not UX/Software.

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent required.

  • Hospitality, retail, F&B , or entertainment industry preferred.

  • Comfortable with a fast-paced and “startup” like environment. This team is growing in size and scope.

  • Ability to travel up to 20% of the time.

  • Experienced in the areas of development of physical products or customer experiences.

  • Ability to effectively communicate across a large ecosystem of partners and stakeholders.

  • Exceptional verbal and presentation skills, including the ability to communicate effectively to the executive levels of the company. “Telling the story” is a major component of this role.

  • Ability to assemble, lead and influence cross functional teams to execute against a new product vision, including influencing leaders across the organization.

  • Comfortable to navigate the “gray”. Able to find answers and propose in initiative and solutions on your own. A self-starter.

  • Use positive outlook and willingness for personal initiative. Obsessive attention to detail and follow-through. Each detail matters.

We know there's a lot to consider. As you go through the application process, our recruiters will be glad to provide guidance, and more relevant details to answer any additional questions. Thank you again for your interest in Royal Caribbean Group. We'll hope to see you onboard soon!
