Compliance Specialist

Location: Irving, TX (Corporate Office)

Schedule: Monday–Thursday, 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM; Remote Fridays

Travel: Limited

Compensation: $55,000/year, plus housing discount, plus benefits, 401k matching, unlimited PTO and company paid holidays.

Who We Are

At TI Communities, we’re on a mission to build thriving communities by caring for both people and properties — while ensuring everything we do aligns with the highest standards of compliance. With a growing portfolio spanning nine markets nationwide, we’re seeking a talented Compliance Specialist to help safeguard our communities and keep them running smoothly.

Why This Role Matters

As our Compliance Specialist, you’ll be the backbone of our compliance program, making sure we meet the strict requirements of HUD, LIHTC, Fair Housing, ADA, and other housing regulations. Your expertise will directly protect residents, support our on-site teams, and maintain the integrity of our operations.

What Your Day-to-Day Looks Like

  • Audit & Inspect: Proactively monitor local, state, and federal regulations, performing on-site visits to review property files and identify compliance gaps before they become problems.
  • Document Readiness: Keep all documentation and records inspection-ready, organized, and up-to-date — accuracy is critical here.
  • Training & Guidance: Serve as a trusted resource, training and advising property teams as new policies roll out, and helping them interpret complex requirements.
  • Reporting & Analysis: Prepare reports, complete audits, and share findings to keep leadership and on-site teams in the loop and empowered to act.
  • Cross-Functional Partnership: Collaborate with property managers, leasing teams, and other departments to address compliance needs, share best practices, and keep the entire operation on track.
  • Regulatory Watchdog: Stay informed about changes in housing laws and ensure our teams have the knowledge they need to stay compliant and protect our residents.

What You Bring to the Team

  • At least 2 years of experience in property management compliance or a similar regulatory role
  • Familiarity with HUD, LIHTC, Fair Housing, ADA, and related guidelines
  • Excellent attention to detail — you can spot missing details from a mile away
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the confidence to train and coach others
  • Skilled with software (such as Entrata) and Excel
  • Highly organized, proactive, and able to prioritize your own projects
  • Certifications in compliance a plus, but not required

Why You’ll Love Working Here

  • Housing Discount – We believe in taking care of our people.
  • Comprehensive Insurance – Medical, dental, and vision coverage to keep you healthy.
  • 401(k) with Company Match – Plan confidently for your future.
  • Unlimited PTO – Because balance matters.
  • Paid Holidays – Rest and recharge.
  • Referral Bonuses – Bring in great talent and get rewarded.
  • Professional Growth – We invest in our people and promote from within.
  • Empowered Culture – You’ll have the freedom to own your role and make a true impact.
  • Recognition & Rewards – We see and celebrate your contributions.

TI Communities is an equal opportunity employer. We celebrate diversity and are committed to creating an inclusive environment for all employees.
