Job Description
Position Summary The Research Assistant (RA) provides support and assists the Research and Evaluation functional unit in the conduct of novel research and evaluation projects. The RA performs a variety of technical, analytical, and administrative duties both independently and under general supervision in the execution of various scientific, medical, clinical, and evaluation investigations. The RA works closely with team members to ensure project milestones and goals are reached while maintaining flexibility, as appropriate, to meet changing needs and requirements.
This position requires a flexible and solutions-oriented individual who is capable of delving into projects to support aggressive team goals.

- Assists with the development of study materials, protocols, and assessments
- Develops procedures that are aligned with study protocols ensuring data quality assurance and regulatory compliance
- Conducts chart reviews of electronic medical records and prepares documentation for data entry
- Performs data extraction from medical record review and inputs into a centralized database
- Provides reports of the agency’s evaluation activities, including incident reports and corrective active plan management
- Provides support and assistance in data collection, analysis, and distribution of performance dashboards to assess key performance indicators
- Performs quantitative data tracking, cleaning, and management tasks
- Assists auditors with quality assurance data checks
Required Qualifications & Competencies - Master’s degree
- Preferred 2 years of research or evaluation experience, preferably in the areas of substance use, HIV, health care delivery, and patient support services
- Must demonstrate cultural competence in working with diverse patient populations
- Must be well organized, have excellent writing skills, and be able to manage multiple tasks and prioritize work plans appropriately
- Ability to take direction and work independently and as part of a team
Additional Requirements - Able to work outside the traditional hours of 9:00 am to 5:00 pm.
