We are looking for a proactive and independent outside sales representative/engineer to join our team. The position works remotely covering Central & Eastern Washington, Northern Idaho and Western Montana, territory details can be viewed on our website -  This role is responsible for territories: a. (42) Central Washington, (45) Eastern Washington, (43) Western Montana. Candidates must reside in or be willing to relocate to this area, preferably in the Spokane or Moses Lake areas.

The Job: Working within the assigned territory, the Sales Engineer will manage customer relationships, provide technical product information and sales support, and determining pricing strategies at customer' places of business, virtually, at trade events, and in various forms of communication.

Responsible for:

All aspects of the sales cycle from cold calling to after sales support including:

  1. Identifying opportunities and product specifications
  2. Delivering presentation to end users, facility engineering and maintenance personnel
  3. Developing relationships and interacting client purchasing departments
  4. Overseeing product commissioning support

  • Use company CRM (Odoo) to maintain customer data, track opportunities and projects and produce accurate sales and related performance reports for review.
  • Collaborate with Inside Sales and Technical Support to determine and meet customer needs.
  • Travel throughout the assigned territory to regularly meet with existing and prospective customers to solicit orders or technical application advice.
  • Display and/or demonstrate product, using samples, electronic and printed literature.
  • Quote price, credit terms and prepares sales contracts for orders obtained with assistance from Inside Sales teammate.
  • Prepares reports of business transactions and keep accurate and timely expense account.
  • Successfully access all targets accounts and build sales existing client base.
  • Investigates and resolves customer problems and deliveries.
  • Develop lists of prospective customers for use as sales leads, based on information from business directories, industry ads, trade shows, Internet Web site and other sources.
  • Attends tradeshows, training and other meetings as needed.
  • Coordinate and support customer trainings.

Qualifications: Candidates should have the following experience, skills and capabilities to perform essential duties and functions.

  • Education and/or Experience: Bachelor’s or Master's Degree in STEM curriculum (preferred), Associate's degree (A. A.) or equivalent education from a technical school; or at least ten years of related experience and/or training; 5+ years experience in a customer facing sales role .
  • Ability to read, analyze and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations in English. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from managers, customers, and the general public.
  • Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
  • Experience with Customer Relationship Management (CRM) database software, Project Management software, and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)

Physical Demands: The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Valid Driver’s License with a favorable diving record.

Work Environment: The position will working independently from a home office and traveling to and from customer sites.

Compensation and Benefits:

  • Base salary PLUS monthly bonus ($120,000 - $250,000)
