Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role for a Heavy Equipment Operator / Utility Foreman located in San Diego, CA. The Heavy Equipment Operator / Utility Foreman is responsible for operating and maintaining heavy equipment used in excavation and construction projects. Day-to-day tasks include operating various types of heavy equipment, performing routine maintenance, overseeing excavation activities, and ensuring the safety and efficiency of used equipment. The role also requires coordinating with other team members and supervisors to complete projects on time and within budget.
Day to day activities would include job coordination, coordination of equipment and material delivery, supervision of laborers. Mostly utility connection work/ digging and trenching for water/ sewer services as well as electrical and gas service. We are a General Contractor, Framing contractor and General engineering contractor so activites will be diverse, you may be moving framing material with a telehandler one day and digging a sewer service the next and the day after demolishing a structure and excavating.
