Progressive Construction Services, LLC is an established Commercial General Contractor and Commercial Construction Management firm working in Milwaukee, Madison, and Tomah, WI. The Carpenter Foreman position requires 1-3 years of experience running work as a Carpenter Foreman. and who is eager to learn and grow with us. The available position requires travel between Milwaukee/Madison; living between the two locations would be ideal. We are seeking a Carpenter Foreman who is self-motivated, organized, and has leadership skills to manage a crew of 2-6 carpenters. This person will also be flexible and innovative with problem solving skills and operate with a high level of integrity.
The Carpentry Foreman is an integral part of the construction process. As a Foreman at Progressive Construction Services, LLC, you will play a vital role in our commercial construction projects, making a significant contribution to their success. You will be entrusted with the responsibility of ensuring that the project is completed safely, efficiently, and to the high standards we are renowned for. Your leadership in the field will be highly valued as you work alongside our team.
PCS Carpenter Foremen are responsible for: coordinating and leading a crew of 2-6 carpenters, consulting with the superintendent and project manager, assigning tasks, ensuring carpentry jobs are completed according to plans and schedule, and monitoring performance. This position requires traveling. Personal vehicles are required for transportation to and from job sites which are currently located in Madison and Milwaukee.
Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities:
- A positive attitude and is seeking new challenges and opportunities
- Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
- An understanding of the importance of safety, quality and customer service
- Computer skills and experience using MS Word, Excel, and Outlook
- OSHA certification
- Math, writing, and blueprint reading skills
- Experience leading a crew of 3-6 members
- Experience in a carpentry leadership role
- The ability to pay attention to detail, physically perform carpentry duties and use power tools
- A driver’s license in good standing and a dependable vehicle
- A High School Diploma
- Verifiable supervisory references
- PCS has Federal Construction Contracts, candidates must pass a Federal background check prior to an offer of employment
